Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about planning with Financho.
Is Financho financial advice?
No. Financho is educational software designed to help you model and project different financial scenarios. We do not provide investment, tax, or legal advice. You should always consult with a qualified professional before making major financial decisions.
How secure is my financial data?
We take security seriously. Your data is encrypted in transit and stored using reputable infrastructure providers such as Firebase, Vercel, and Neon. We do not sell your personal or financial information. To power AI features, the questions you ask and relevant plan data are sent to third-party AI providers (Google and Anthropic) to generate a response — see our Privacy Policy for details.
How does the AI Assistant work?
Our AI Assistant is grounded specifically on the data and assumptions in your personal plan, so it can reference your specific numbers — like your tax bracket, Social Security estimate, and withdrawal strategy. It's powered by third-party large language models, so its answers can be incomplete or wrong even when they sound confident. Treat AI responses as informational only, not advice, and verify anything important before acting on it.
Is the tax and market data always accurate?
We work hard to keep tax constants (brackets, IRMAA tiers, contribution limits, etc.) and market data current, and some of this is maintained with automated and AI-assisted processes. It may still be incomplete, delayed, or out of date, and may not reflect the latest law or your specific situation. Figures are estimates for education only — confirm anything important with official sources or a licensed professional.
Can I model complex scenarios like Roth conversions?
Yes. Financho includes specialized tools for Roth conversion analysis, Social Security optimization, Monte Carlo stress-testing, and 'what-if' scenario comparisons.
What does Financho cost, and how does billing work?
Financho is $99.99/year with a 30-day free trial. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, your subscription converts to paid and renews automatically each year at the then-current price until you cancel. Payments are processed by Whop and appear as 'WHOP' on your statement. You can cancel anytime from Settings → Subscription; cancellation stops future renewals and you keep access through the end of the period you've paid for. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.
What is Emergency Access (Break Glass)?
Emergency Access is an optional feature that lets you generate a code so a trusted person can request access to your Financho household data after a waiting period (during which you're notified and can cancel). It is a convenience feature for your Financho data only — it is not a will, power of attorney, or estate-planning instrument, it doesn't grant any legal right to your money or accounts, and we don't verify who presents a code. Keep your code confidential and consult an attorney for actual estate planning.
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time through the Settings page. Once deleted, your information is removed from our active systems; residual copies may remain briefly in backups or logs before being overwritten. See our Privacy Policy for details.
